The PhD Project is a non-profit organization that was created to increase the diversity of business school faculty. This organization aims to encourage more African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans to pursue a PhD in business and ultimately join the faculty ranks of business schools across the US. The PhD Project provides resources and support for prospective PhD students, such as comprehensive information on PhD programs, preparatory workshops and guidance on the application process, mentorship from current faculty members, and professional development opportunities. As a result of the PhD Project’s efforts, there has been a significant increase in the number of minority faculty members in business schools, which helps to create a more diverse and inclusive learning environment for students.
